1What is in the pass
- Timed exams, as many as you want. Each one is 130 questions in 240 minutes, with the national section drawn across PSI's national content areas in their published broker shares and the state section in the item counts PSI's Oregon outline gives, so a full timed exam is 80 national and 50 state questions, with questions you have not seen yet served first. You get your score against the 75% pass line and a score for each section, since each section is passed separately.
- Practice by topic. Pick any of the 8 national content areas or an Oregon area, or the questions you missed last time. The right answer and the reason appear as soon as you answer.
- Oregon questions with their law cited. 136 questions on Oregon rules: who needs a license and the exemptions, license renewal, transfer and inactive status, the grounds for discipline in ORS 696.301, clients' trust accounts and earnest money, the seller's and buyer's agent duties, disclosed limited agency and the initial agency disclosure pamphlet, advertising and real estate teams, listing and buyer agreements, offers, competitive market analyses, compensation, principal broker supervision, document review and records retention, property management agreements and security deposits, the Residential Landlord and Tenant Act's rent increase limit, the seller's property disclosure statement and stigmatized property, trust deed foreclosure, construction liens, subdivisions, condominium and timeshare cancellation rights, property taxes and water rights, and more. Each explanation names the Oregon statute or rule it comes from, with the date it was read.
- National questions to the outline. 400 questions on the principles every state tests, weighted to Pearson VUE's national content outline, down to each sub-topic. They include the 80 on the free practice exam.
- Your weak topics, tracked. Every answer is recorded in your browser, so the app can show your accuracy by topic and send you back to the areas below the pass line.

PSI's Oregon bulletin gives the national section as a broker share of the exam for each content area and the state section's items by area: 6, 3, 5, 12, 5, 4 and 15. A full timed exam draws 80 national questions in PSI's shares (rounded to whole questions) and 50 state questions in those counts, in the two sections' times added together; you can also time each section on its own.

2How the Oregon broker exam works
- Two sections. The broker exam has a national section of 80 questions in 150 Minutes and a state section of 50 questions in 90 Minutes. PSI may add a small number (5 to 10) of experimental questions that are not scored but count against examination time.
- Passing score. Each section has its own pass line: you must score 75% or better on both sections. If you pass one section and fail the other, the passing score is good for 12 months.
- Fee. PSI's examination fee is $75 for one attempt, and new candidates pay a fingerprinting fee of $61.25 at the exam site.

3A sample Oregon question
This is one of the Oregon questions in the pass, shown with its explanation and the law it comes from.
A seller's home is already under a contract for sale when the listing broker receives a second written offer from another buyer. What must the seller's agent do with the second offer?
- Nothing, because the property is already subject to a contract for sale
- Present it only if the seller has asked to see backup offers
- Hold it and present it only if the first contract terminates
- Present it to the seller in a timely manner
Answer and explanation
Answer D: Present it to the seller in a timely manner
A seller's agent has an affirmative duty to present all written offers in a timely manner, whether or not the property is already subject to a contract for sale. The second offer must therefore be presented promptly. Withholding it because a contract already exists is the tempting wrong answer; the statute expressly rejects that reasoning.
