1What is in the pass
- Timed exams, as many as you want. Each one is 120 questions in 240 minutes, with the national portion drawn across PSI's national content areas in their published shares and the state portion in the item counts PSI's New Hampshire outline gives, so a full timed exam is 80 national and 40 state questions, with questions you have not seen yet served first. You get your score against the 70% pass line and a score for each portion, since each portion is passed separately.
- Practice by topic. Pick any of the 8 national content areas or a New Hampshire area, or the questions you missed last time. The right answer and the reason appear as soon as you answer.
- New Hampshire questions with their law cited. 128 questions on New Hampshire rules: who needs a license and who is exempt, qualifications, examinations and continuing education, inactive status, prohibited conduct, escrow accounts, advertising, branch offices, the water supply, insulation and sewage disclosures, seller agents, buyer agents, disclosed dual agents, designated agents and facilitators, brokerage contracts, the Law Against Discrimination, the radon, arsenic and lead notices, deeds and recording, and landlord and tenant, and more. Each explanation names the New Hampshire statute (RSA) or Real Estate Commission rule (Rea) it comes from, with the date it was read.
- National questions to the outline. 400 questions on the principles every state tests, weighted to Pearson VUE's national content outline, down to each sub-topic. They include the 80 on the free practice exam.
- Your weak topics, tracked. Every answer is recorded in your browser, so the app can show your accuracy by topic and send you back to the areas below the pass line.

PSI's New Hampshire bulletin gives the national portion as a share of the exam for each content area and the state portion as item counts: 3, 5, 11, 11 and 10 of the 40 state items. A full timed exam here draws 80 national questions in those shares (rounded to whole questions) and exactly 40 state questions in those counts; you can also time each portion on its own. The commission's disciplinary sections were moved out of RSA 331-A in 2023, and the state outline's tax, wetlands, zoning, condominium and manufactured housing statutes are not quoted here.

2How the New Hampshire salesperson exam works
- Two portions. The salesperson exam has a national portion of 80 items in 150 minutes and a state portion of 40 items in 90 minutes. PSI may add 5 to 10 experimental questions that are not scored, and the time taken to answer them will not count against testing time.
- Passing score. You need 56 points on the national portion and 28 points on the state portion; you must pass both the National and State portions of the examination to apply for a license.
- Fee. PSI charges $34 for the national portion, $32 for the state portion and $66 for both.

3A sample New Hampshire question
This is one of the New Hampshire questions in the pass, shown with its explanation and the law it comes from.
Which condition does New Hampshire law attach to the continued membership of the licensed real estate salesperson who sits on the commission?
- The person must be reappointed by the governor every year
- The person may serve only until the commission's next annual election of officers
- The person may remain as long as the person holds any real estate license, salesperson or broker
- The person remains a member only as long as the person maintains status as a licensed real estate salesperson
Answer and explanation
Answer D: The person remains a member only as long as the person maintains status as a licensed real estate salesperson
The salesperson seat is tied to salesperson status. The member keeps the seat only while the member maintains status as a licensed real estate salesperson. Holding just any real estate license is not enough, so the option allowing a broker license is wrong.
