PSI's Michigan bulletin gives one combined salesperson exam: the national content areas as shares of the exam and the Michigan content as salesperson item counts (3, 5, 10, 5 and 12). A full timed exam here draws exactly those Michigan counts and spreads the rest of the exam across the national areas in PSI's shares, rounded to whole questions (8, 4, 6, 8, 15, 10, 6, 2, 5, 10 and 6); that rounding is this site's. The Department's rules (R 339.22101 and following) could not be read from an official copy, so the Michigan questions here come from the statutes only.

3A sample Michigan question

This is one of the Michigan questions in the pass, shown with its explanation and the law it comes from.

Under Michigan law, the disclosure of the type of agency relationship must be:

  1. In writing, provided to the client, and in substantial conformity with the statutory disclosure form
  2. Given orally and later confirmed in the purchase agreement
  3. Filed with the department before the licensee shows any property
  4. Recorded with the deed at closing
Answer and explanation

Answer A: In writing, provided to the client, and in substantial conformity with the statutory disclosure form

The statute requires the agency relationship disclosure to be written and provided to the client. It must also substantially conform to the disclosure form set out in the law. An oral disclosure later confirmed in the purchase agreement does not meet this requirement. The law does not require filing the form with the department or recording it.
