1What is in the pass
- Timed exams, as many as you want. Each one is 110 questions in 4 hours, drawn across Pearson VUE's content areas in the scored item counts its Arkansas outlines give, 80 general and 30 Arkansas law, with questions you have not seen yet served first. You get your score by content area against a 75% study target; the Arkansas Real Estate Commission publishes no passing score.
- Practice by topic. Pick any of the 8 national content areas or an Arkansas area, or the questions you missed last time. The right answer and the reason appear as soon as you answer.
- Arkansas questions with their law cited. 134 questions on Arkansas rules: who needs a license and the exemptions, principal, executive and associate brokers, renewal, post-license and continuing education, inactive status, the Commission's complaints, hearings and the Recovery Fund, advertising under the firm name, trust accounts and earnest money, agreements that must be written, listing agreement expiration dates, self-dealing, broker's price opinions, property management agreements, reporting criminal convictions, time-share cancellation rights, seller, buyer and dual agency and the duties that may and may not be waived, and more. Each explanation names the Arkansas Code section (A.C.A.) or Commission rule (17 CAR 220) it comes from, with the date it was read.
- National questions to the outline. 400 questions on the principles every state tests, weighted to Pearson VUE's national content outline, down to each sub-topic. They include the 80 on the free practice exam.
- Your weak topics, tracked. Every answer is recorded in your browser, so the app can show your accuracy by topic and send you back to the areas below the study target.

Pearson VUE's Arkansas outlines give the general portion as 80 scored items across eight areas and the Arkansas law portion of the salesperson exam as 30 scored items across five areas (4, 2, 14, 2 and 8, in the outline effective December 1, 2025). The real exam also carries 5 general and 10 Arkansas law pretest items that are not scored; the timed exam here draws only the scored items, in those counts, and runs the two portions as one timed exam. The handbook gives two to four hours and no time per portion, so the time on the timed exam here is this site's own practice choice.

2How the Arkansas salesperson exam works
- Two portions. The salesperson exam has a general portion of 80 scored items and an Arkansas law portion of 30 scored items and ten pretest (unscored) items; the general portion also carries five pretest items that do not count. The handbook says you will have two to four hours to complete your exam and gives no time per portion.
- Passing score. The Commission, with Pearson, set a passing score of 70 for each salesperson portion, 70 (general & state), on a scaled score. The handbook says the reported score is neither the number of questions answered correctly nor the percentage of questions answered correctly, so the timed exams here score you against a study target instead.
- Retakes. You may take the exam parts together or separately. If you pass one part and fail the other, you only need to retake the failed part of the exam within six months; after that you must retake the entire exam. Candidates are authorized for unlimited attempts to pass the exam portions (state and national) for which they qualify for one year.
- Fee. The exam fee is $75, for both salesperson components scheduled together or for each one scheduled separately.
- After you pass. Send the forms and fees to the Commission no later than ninety (90) days after passing the examination.

3A sample Arkansas question
This is one of the Arkansas questions in the pass, shown with its explanation and the law it comes from.
A salesperson places an online ad to sell a lot that the salesperson personally owns. Under the commission's rules, the ad:
- Needs no firm name because the property belongs to the licensee
- May show the salesperson's license number in place of the firm name
- Must include the firm name only if a sign is also placed on the lot
- Must include the name of the firm with whom the salesperson is licensed
Answer and explanation
Answer D: Must include the name of the firm with whom the salesperson is licensed
A licensee may not advertise any property for sale or rent without including the name of the firm with whom the licensee is licensed. This applies even to the licensee's own property. The tempting idea that personal property is exempt is wrong because the rule expressly covers it. A license number is not a substitute for the firm name.
